How to Use This Grow a Garden Calculator
Follow these steps to get an accurate plant value in under thirty seconds.
1. Select your plant. Use the category pills to filter by rarity (Common, Rare, Mythical, etc.) or type in the search box. Click any plant to load its base value automatically.
💡 Tip 1: Use the search box to find any plant instantly by name. Partial matches work — typing "lotus" will find Prism Lotus without scrolling.
2. Enter weight and quantity. Input the harvest weight in kg and how many plants you are valuing. Use a decimal for fractional weights (e.g. 0.75).
💡 Tip 2: If you want to value your entire garden at once, save each plant type individually using Add to Saved List, then check the Saved tab for a combined total.
3. Set friend boost. Enter your multiplayer friend boost percentage. Leave at 0 for solo play. The boost is applied after all other calculations.
⚠️ Pitfall 1: Friend boost is a percentage, not a multiplier. Entering 10 means +10%, not ×10. The calculator applies it as (Total × 1.10).
4. Apply mutations. Select one multiplier mutation (Rainbow or Gold) if your plant has one. Then select any number of modifier mutations. The active combination is shown below the mutation panel.
💡 Tip 3: Shocked (+100) has the highest single modifier value but remember the formula subtracts the count of modifiers. Stacking two high-value modifiers together nearly always beats one alone.
⚠️ Pitfall 2: Selecting two multiplier mutations is not allowed — only one can be active. The calculator automatically replaces the previous multiplier when you select a new one.
5. Use Value → Weight mode to reverse-calculate. Toggle on Value → Weight mode, enter your target sell value, and the calculator shows the exact weight per plant needed to hit that number.
💡 Tip 4: Use the Custom Base Value field to test hypothetical plants or future rarity tiers not yet in the plant list.
⚠️ Pitfall 3: The modifier factor formula can go negative if you apply a single very low modifier (e.g. Rotten +1). One modifier gives a factor of (1 + 1 − 1) = 1 — no gain at all. Always stack at least two modifiers to benefit.
💡 Tip 5: Press Add to Saved List after each calculation to build a full garden value report. You can sort saved entries by value or name and delete any entry individually.
⚠️ Pitfall 4: Custom Base Value overrides the selected plant's default. Clear the field to return to the plant's default base value before switching plants.
